The Freight exchange is the Truckscanner section where you can view all transport requests published by shippers. Here you find loads that need transport and can evaluate which opportunities are best suited to your business.

How to access the Freight Exchange

From the navigation menu

1. Log into the application with your account
2. Find the side menu on the left of the screen
3. Look for the "Marketplace" section and click on it
4. Click on "Freight exchange"

Understanding the Freight Exchange interface

Main table structure

The interface presents a table organised with the following columns:

Visual indicators for dates

• Flexible date (two or more days): highlighted in green
• Fixed date (specific day): highlighted in orange

Privacy note: For privacy reasons, exact pickup and delivery addresses are only shown after the job is awarded and the transport order is issued.

How to use search filters

Filters allow you to quickly find loads best suited to your vehicle and preferences.

Accessing filters

1. Find the "Filters" area at the top of the page
2. Filters are always expanded and visible for easy use

Available filters

Geographic area filter

1. Set the pickup area (city or province)
2. Set the delivery area (city or province)
3. Define the preferred distance radius for each area

Date filter

1. Select the time period of interest
2. Set date from and date to for the desired range

Weight filter

1. Define minimum weight (kg)
2. Define maximum weight (kg) compatible with your vehicle

Goods category filter

1. Click the "Category" dropdown
2. Select the goods category you're interested in

Special goods filter

1. Click the "Special goods" dropdown
2. Select categories you can transport:
   • Hazardous goods (ADR)
   • High value goods
   • Waste
   • Food goods (ATP/HACCP)

Clearing filters

1. Find the "Reset filters" button (in red) in the filter area
2. Click once to remove all active filters
3. The table will update showing all available loads

How to view load details

Opening the detail card

1. Scroll the table to find the load of interest
2. Click directly on any cell in the row
3. A side modal window will automatically open with all details

Information visible in the detail card

The modal window contains:

• Basic Client information: company name
• Complete load details: type, dimensions, quantity, weight
• Pickup and delivery information: pickup and destination province
• Delivery dates: fixed or flexible
• Distance and total weight
• Specific requirements:
  • Required vehicle type
  • Loading and unloading equipment
  • Additional services required
  • Required certificates

Closing the detail card

• Click the "X" button at the top right of the window
• Or click outside the area of the modal window

Opening a negotiation

From the load detail card, you have two options to start a negotiation:

Option 1: Send a message

1. Click "Send a message" at the bottom
2. The negotiation window will open with chat
3. Write your message to request more information
4. The shipper will receive a notification

Use this option when you want to clarify details before making a formal offer.

Option 2: Make an offer

1. Click "Make an offer" at the bottom
2. The negotiation window will open
3. Fill in the required fields:
   • Transport price (€)
   • Payment terms (e.g. 60 days from invoice)
   • Payment method (Bank transfer, etc.)
   • Additional conditions (optional)
4. Click "Send" to confirm the offer

Remember: Truckscanner does NOT charge commissions on orders concluded on the platform!

Not finding many loads? Here's why

If the Freight exchange shows few requests, don't worry: this is a positive sign!

To never miss an opportunity, Truckscanner sends you automatic notifications when loads compatible with your profile are published.

Email notifications (included in free plan)

Receive email alerts for loads matching your preferences for:

• Transportable goods
• Covered areas
• Fleet type

WhatsApp Business notifications (Premium)

With the Premium plan, receive notifications directly on WhatsApp:

• Loads and offers directly on your phone
• Magic link to make an offer in 30 seconds
• Perfect even while travelling

Update your preferences to receive more opportunities

Notifications are based on your company profile information. The more complete your profile, the more precise and relevant your notifications will be.

How to update preferences

Go to Company profile and complete the sections:

1. Transportable goods

1. Go to "Profile" → "My company"
2. Select "Transportable goods"
3. Indicate all goods categories you can transport:
   • Palletised goods
   • Other non-palletised loads
   • Bulk solid/liquid cargo
   • Intermodal transport units
   • Exceptional loads
4. If you transport special goods, also indicate:
   • ADR (hazardous goods)
   • ATP (perishable goods)
   • Waste
   • High value
   • Food

2. Fleet type

1. Go to "Profile" → "My company"
2. Select "Fleet type"
3. Indicate vehicle types available and your niche

3. Covered areas

1. Go to "Profile" → "My company"
2. Select "Covered areas"
3. Indicate geographic areas where you operate:
   • Italian regions/provinces
   • Foreign countries (if international)

Troubleshooting common problems

The table won't load

1. Check your internet connection
2. Reload the page by pressing F5
3. Check there aren't overly restrictive filters

I don't see available loads

1. Remove all filters using "Reset filters"
2. Check you're in the correct section (Freight exchange)
3. Check email/WhatsApp notifications for new loads
4. Update profile preferences to receive more matches

The detail window won't open

1. Make sure you click directly on a cell in the table
2. Check your browser isn't blocking popups
3. Reload the page if necessary

Difficulty with filters

1. Clear filters one at a time to identify problems
2. Use the red "Reset" button to start over
3. Reload the page if filters aren't responding

Why do I see few loads in the Freight exchange? Truckscanner is an efficient service: requests are closed quickly. Check email/WhatsApp notifications and update your preferences to not miss opportunities.

Can I make offers on multiple loads simultaneously? Yes, you can open negotiations on all loads that interest you.

Does the shipper see my offer immediately? Yes, the shipper receives a notification and can view your offer in the "My requests" section.

Can I modify an offer after sending it? Yes, as long as the offer is in "orange" status (being evaluated). Each new offer cancels the previous one.

How do I receive WhatsApp notifications? WhatsApp notifications are available with the Premium plan. Activate them from the "Premium" section of your account.

Does Truckscanner charge commissions on offers? No, Truckscanner does NOT charge commissions on orders concluded on the platform.
